Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Your privacy rights under California law, and how coley protects them.

Coley, Inc. does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

What "Sell" and "Share" Mean Under California Law

California law defines these terms more broadly than you might expect:

coley does not sell your personal information. coley does not share your personal information for targeted advertising. There is no opt-out mechanism because there is nothing to opt out of.

Your Rights Under California Law

Even though coley does not sell or share your personal information, California law gives you additional privacy rights. Here is what you are entitled to:

Right to Know

You can ask us what personal information we have collected about you, where we collected it from, why we collected it, and who we have disclosed it to.

Right to Delete

You can ask us to delete the personal information we have collected from you. We will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Right to Correct

If personal information we have about you is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct it.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

You have the right to tell a company to stop selling or sharing your personal information. Because coley does not sell or share your personal information, this right does not apply here. We include it so you know the right exists.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You can ask us to limit how we use sensitive personal information (such as health and wellbeing information, emotional message data, crisis detection data, or voice data) to only what is necessary to provide our service to you.

Right to Non-Discrimination

coley will never charge you a different price, provide a different level of service, or deny you service because you exercised any of your privacy rights.

In your email, please describe which right you would like to exercise. You do not need to use legal language. Just tell us what you need in your own words.

What Happens After You Submit a Request

We will respond to your verified request within 45 days. If we need more time, we will let you know and explain why. California law allows up to an additional 45 days in certain circumstances, but we will do our best to respond sooner.

Verifying Your Identity

Before we can process your request, we may need to verify that you are who you say you are. This protects you from someone else making requests about your information.

We may ask you to confirm your email address, provide identifying information that matches what we have on file, or take other reasonable steps to confirm your identity. We will never ask for your password, Social Security number, or financial account information as part of verification.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
