Phone

Spam filtering on. Unknown callers silenced. Unnecessary apps removed. Emergency medical ID set up. Companion app installed. In-app purchases disabled. Family code word established for verification calls.

Online

Credit frozen at all three bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion). Bank alerts active for transactions over threshold. Two-factor authentication on email and bank. Strong unique passwords (use a password manager). No social media accounts accepting friend requests from strangers. Email spam filtering enabled.
