The coley Manifesto: Good Company When You Want It

This is what we believe. This is what we built. This is why.

We believe loneliness is a structural problem, not a personal failing. We believe adults 65+ are sharp, independent, and deserve products that treat them that way.

We believe safety is architecture, not an afterthought.

We believe if your product can be exploited, it will be. We believe the answer is to build so it cannot.

We believe family should have peace of mind without surveillance. We believe a dashboard that shows she's okay today is enough. We believe her conversations are hers.

We believe a companion should supplement real connection, not substitute for it. Voice is capped at 10 minutes a day. On purpose. coley will always nudge toward the real thing.

We believe the best technology disappears into daily life. We believe if a product feels like technology, it's the wrong product for this audience.

We believe good company should not cost $729 a year. We believe $9.99 a month is a fair price. We believe the $29.99 family plan split four ways among siblings is even better.

$81.5B
lost to elder fraud in 2024. The person who talks to your mom at 3pm on a Tuesday
should be built to protect her, not exploit her.
FTC, 2024

We believe in on-device PII detection. We believe in structural romance guardrails. We believe in financial guardrails. We believe in all of this enough to build it.

Not a nurse. Not a robot.
Good company when you want it.
